1) Initial segment: When Cotton arrives at your party, she will begin with guitar music and or Karaoke and dance activities. If planned, a magic show would be presented at this time. Scheduled games and crafts would be performed now. Approximately thirty minutes should be allowed for this segment.
2) Subsequent segment(s): a. Please request during the booking process. If the party is being held at your child’s school, balloons will more than likely be prohibited. CCotton will be happy to make a few balloons for your children to take home after the party. Balloons do not hold up in the heat, so if you will be storing them in your car, it’s probably a good idea to make alternate arrangements. b. Please request during the booking process. Face painting can be elaborate or simple, depending upon its value to the party theme. c. Cotton often offers guests their choice of fingernail painting or face painting to maximize time and choices. When time allows, Cotton enjoys being able to provide both. If your child (siblings) indicates they would like to receive both, she will explain to the others that it is a special treat for the “birthday girl” and family. CAll of the above are subject to your agreement, both prior to and during your party. When you book Cotton for an engagement which exceeds the minimum time allowances for your chosen party segments, more time and attention to detail may then be devoted to each activity. There is no “lag time” during Cotton’s appearance. CCustomizations and Modifications are always possible. eIn certain instances, music, storytelling, games and/or a magic show are a better value with the omission of balloons and face painting.. | Common Party “Schedule spoilers” - Requests for multiple balloons or face paintings from individual guests.
- Peripheral adults and neighbors requesting balloon creations or face painting.
- The entertainer’s departure delayed by having to wait for payment.
- One or more of the children are busy elsewhere during balloons/face painting, and as the performer is packing up (or has packed up and is ready to leave, they appear with a request.
- Other guests parking their vehicles so that the entertainer’s car is blocked-in.
- Gathering guests for group photos at the end. Photos are a wonderful way to remember the party. Your entertainer will be happy to join in for photos, if given some advance notice. (It is fine if you would like to video tape Cotton's performance.
- Overly-inquisitive friends taking liberties with the entertainer’s supplies and equipment without permission, sometimes unceasingly, sometimes breaking Cotton's equipment.
- Crowd management (without support), especially during balloon twisting and face painting.
You can provide tremendous support by informing Cotton 15 minutes prior to the time her performance is scheduled to end, and join Cotton in preparing your guests for her departure. This will enable Cotton to wrap things up with the least amount of disappointment when they hear her say: “That’s all Folks!”.... |
