JOIN COTTON ON SEPTEMBER 29, at noon, as she helps kick off the merger and reopening of Exploris and Playspace in Raleigh, in the current Exploris location. Entirely new & unique, this kids museum willserve kids 0-12 yrs. of age, and their families. The mission of the new museum is that we are a hands-on, interactive museum that inspires children to becreative thinkers, active learners and confident individuals in our global community. The new kids museum will offer exciting, interactive exhibits, engaging programming, IMAX and many memorable experiences! The new kids museum experience will create wonder and excitement by providing hands-on experiences that stimulate curiosity, generate interaction and engage children of all ages in lifelong learning.
We are planning a wonderful grand opening event for the entire community. This event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony with local celebrities, political figures and community leaders, as well as a large press presence. We expect approximately 2000 people to attend this all day celebration- kids, families, community leaders, etc. The grand opening will be a carnival atmosphere with performances, clowns, magicians, face painters and food vendors in the courtyard and the public area in front of the museum. It promises to be an exiting, lively event for the entire community!
